HATTIE has gone to her new home.
Hattie is approximately 5 years old and is a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She had previously been a breeding bitch and had led a very sheltered life. As she was no longer needed to produce puppies, she came to Sussex Pet Rescue to be fostered and is now looking for her forever home. Hattie has been in our foster care for several months, this is because she is a very nervous, sensitive girl and needed huge amounts of time, patience and understanding. We are looking for a special home for Hattie, where she can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy life.
Hattie needs a quiet, calm home, away from busy traffic as this makes her very nervous. She does love to go for walks and really enjoys running in the grass and woods, something she had never experienced before. She travels well in the car. Hattie does need to live with another dog who must have a calm, placid nature. She has been fostered alongside another dog who has really helped her gain her confidence. She is very respectful of cats and is growing in confidence when meeting people, she is also very good with other dogs.
Hattie has a good appetite and loves her food. She can be left for short periods of time, alongside another calm, placid dog. She is fully housetrained, vaccinated, microchipped and she has been spayed. If you feel you could offer Hattie the type of home we are looking for, please call Helen on 01444 400371 between 9 and 6.
Please only call if you have a calm dog already who will be a suitable companion for Hattie, and you don’t live on a main road. Thank you.
