Have you adopted a Sussex Pet Rescue dog?  Would you like their story to appear on our website and Facebook pages?  If so, please send us their story and some lovely photos to info@sussexpetrescue.org.

Honey lost her elderly owners when she was 13 years old and the family asked Sussex Pet Rescue to find the old girl a suitable home. Now she’s a feisty 14 year old terrier cross, quite unaware of her age.

Following three months in a lovely foster home, she now lives in a country cottage with a large garden and has taken to her new life like a duck to water – there are also 30 real ducks to chase.

A few weeks ago she proudly returned from her local village fete with a paw-full of rosettes; the ‘Prettiest Bitch’, ‘Obedience’ (which involved a difficult trick resisting a treat) and then she came first equal with the other contestant in the ‘Seniors Parade’.

In typical terrier style she is very capable of making her opinions known, and nearly a year on she’s is still keeping everyone on their toes!
